The VHI has announced plans to create 60 jobs at two new Swift-Care clinics in Waterford and Cork. Both facilities will be up and running by the autumn. The health insurance firm already operates three similar clinics in the Dublin area, treating an average of 1,100 patients a week. The clinics provide assessment, treatment and advice for people with minor injuries and illnesses.
