Covidien, formerly Tyco Healthcare, is closing 17 of its operations across Europe in order to consolidate them in one European headquarters in Cherrywood in south Dublin.
The US-based multinational company supplies medical equipment and is planning to recruit staff later this month for the facility, creating between 200 and 250 jobs.
