Legal recruitment market remains solid

The legal recruitment market remains solid, a salary survey by Sigmar Recruitment has found. The highest requirement at present is for candidates with three to four years experience in niche areas such as Banking, Funds, Tax and Employment.
The survey shows in-house Legal Counsel positions are becoming increasingly attractive options for lawyers seeking a move from practice. Sigmar’s Legal division has also noticed an increase in demand for compliance professionals.
“Typical benefits in the legal sector include performance related bonus, pension, health insurance, car allowance, company car, study package and share options, which makes it a very attractive career path,” explains Cathy Ní Luanaigh, Associate director with Sigmar Recruitment Ireland. “Many firms will also pay bonuses to Solicitors/Chartered Secretaries according to their annual billings.”
