Our trainee induction program is open to both graduates and those currently in employment who may be looking to move into the funds industry. The programme runs over 4 weeks and is designed to introduce new employees to the funds industry and to The Bank of New York Mellon.
The program provides candidates with an understanding and appreciation of the funds industry.
Key elements of the programme include system training, on the job learning experiences, individual development plans and peer learning.

Examples of our key roles:
Role of the Fund Administrator
- Calculation of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of a fund in accordance with the prospectus.
- Calculation of net income for dividend purposes.
- Calculation of fees and other amounts due by a fund.
- Supplying information to the investment manager.
- Arrange publication of NAV as required.
Role of the Financial Reporting Accountant
- Preparation of annual and semi-annual financial reports.
- Liaising with auditors and internal departments with respect to annual reports.
- Ensuring accounts are completed, signed, filed and distributed to all parties within prescribed deadlines.
Role of the Transfer Agent
- Maintenance of all shareholder information on TA system.
- Processing shareholder account activity e.g. subscriptions/redemptions.
- Calculation and payment of dividends, capital gains and any other distributions to shareholders.
- Daily reconciliation of all incoming/outgoing cash.
Role of the Trustee
- Act as a watch-dog for the unit holders of collective investment schemes.
- Carry out regular reviews of the activities of the service providers of the Collective Investment Schemes for which it acts, in order to ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory and legal restrictions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, legal advisers, auditors and industry participants.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the regulatory requirements of Irish authorised funds and new fund industry developments.
